An old stone house refurbished with modern yet cosy style. Closed to Serra d’Arga (mountain) and Ancora River passing along the house making a beautiful natural pool with crystal clear water. The connection of the house to the river makes this place unique. There is a trail straight from the doorstep that allows you to go hiking to the closeby mountains. Also about 30 min walk, you can find the “Pincho” waterfalls where you can spend the day bathing and sunbathing.

While difficult to access by public transport, pick-up by appointment at the airport is possible, so long as the landlord is available. Ten minutes from the Ofir dunes by foot, but a quiet sand beach is right behind the house. Perfect for relaxed days in the Portuguese sun (it gets windy during the afternoons). Diego's brother was so nice as to pick me up from the bus station of Esposende by car and offer to stop at a supermarket. The cabins are not actually in Esposende, but halfway between Ofir and Apulia, almost impossible to reach using public transport. Closest facilities would be a small minimarket at 1.5km. Kitchen is basic, but clean and well equipped for simple cooking. The bedroom got very damp, and I think there were even some fungi growing on the wall. Casa com encanto em quinta rural à Guimaraes.
