Coltman attended Michigan State University, majoring in Journalism until a professor requested she switch majors - "Apparently making a story better with added features isn't acceptable in the news world," Coltman laments. With a BA in English from Northern Illinois University, Coltman has written for local, regional and national publications. Coltman writes a weekly blog called, "My Life in a Nutshell," the impetus for her first book.

Judi Coltman

I started writing in Grade 5. I wrote a story about some animals in a forest that was being threatened by logging. I made it into a homemade book with illustrations I had done myself. My teacher found it in my desk at school and made me read it to the class.

I think blogging helps calm me when I am stressed. I’m choosing to write this blog entry at this particular moment for that reason. I will talk about why. Often when I go to bed I get these thoughts which I refer to rather simply as the “bad thoughts.” http://lindseywebster.blogspot.com/

Matt Stewart - Author of The French Revolution, a novel

"Stewart writes the sort of sentences that punch holes in a 140-character ceiling and sail out corkscrewing across the bay. From its first pages, which describe the laborious morning ritual of Esmeralda Van Twinkle - a persnickety, ravenous and extremely large cashier in a copy shop - the novel fondly recalls John Kennedy Toole's 1980 classic 'A Confederacy of Dunces.'" - San Francisco Chronicle ( recommended reading ) "Stewart’s zany debut cleverly reimagines the central events of the French Revolution in a thrilling novel that explores the meaning of success and the unlikely bonds that unite a family... Deep-cutting and full of cartoonish surprises, Stewart’s hilariously bawdy satire casts fresh light in a dark corner of the past while portraying a family whose members have somehow survived history." - Booklist "Whimsically allegorical...amusing and quite clever." - Boston Globe "A wildly imaginative novel of family and out-sized dreams.

Blog / Updates – More Than Rice – Human Trafficking Book by Pamala Kennedy Chestnut

Aaron Au of Title Card Pictures and Quadrant 2 Productions has already produced a short film on human trafficking, and knew he wanted to find a great story that would be strong enough to make a successful movie. Its fairly difficult to transform a book to film. More than rice is about 225 pages. A movie script is about 90!
