When Ari Ne’eman walked onstage at a college campus in Pennsylvania in June, he looked like a handsome young rabbi presiding over the bar mitzvah of a young Talmudic scholar.

'There is a familial myth that my late Grandfather would not have survived being a Japanese Prisoner of War had the atomic bombing of Hiroshima not occurred. So it could be argued that I owe my existence to one of the most terrifying events of human history and the death of 110,000 people.' - David Blandy http://www.seventeengallery.com/index.php?p=3&id=60&iid=0

Welcome -

Inaugural performance of the Cast and Figment programme, performed live at Sound Fjord and simultaneously broadcast here and at castandfigment.org : (A Comedy of) Danger The Radio of the Future – the central tree of our consciousness – will inaugurate new ways to cope with our endless undertakings and will unite all mankind. … The main Radio station, that stronghold of steel, where clouds of wires cluster like strands of hair, will surely be protected by a sign with a skull and crossbones and the familiar word “Danger”, since the least disruption of Radio operations would produce a mental blackout over the entire country, and temporary loss of consciousness.*

BORDERLINE : Tenderpixel

Tenderpixel is pleased to present Borderline, a solo-exhibition by Shiro Masuyama. In Borderline, Masuyama exhibits 'Crossing the Border' and 'Moving', two works that combine performative acts and their manifestation as documentation through object and video. Both works address the notion of travel and physical/non-physical borders. Masuyama found himself at Schiphol airport in Holland at final security check before boarding a plane when he became interested in a small gap between the top of a glass wall and the ceiling; a design feature that visually and physically determines the space beyond as forbidden, unless undergoing a rigorous systematic inspection.
