All right, this is John with learning guitar now and this a little video, I’m going to show a little bit of playing E blues scale in using the open strings and also I’m tuned down to E flat, so a lot of your favorite guitar players probably tuned down E flat. So all you have to do is tune each string down half a step, if you have standard tuning, your big string E tune it to E flat, you have A flat, D flat, G flat, B flat, and E flat. So E flat tuning is really cool sounds like a lot heavier [Demonstration] than your standard tuning, so that’s the tuning I’m using Stevie Ray Vaughan, you know Slash from Guns and Roses, Jimi Hendrix a lot of different people use the tuned down tuning from a standard. So you take blues scale on E, looks like this. [Demonstration] That’s the Blue scale using open strings.
So from that little scale, you have tons of cool licks. And in the 1st fret you got [Demonstration] that’s a major, 3rd first fret on the G string. That’s the blues scale 010— Blues Guitar Lesson Video. And then, if you, the minor pentatonic scale adds one note to that, and that’s the minor note, which is not in the 10 – 12.
So you have, if you’re doing, one thing you just wanna take note of is just your major, I don’t know if you know much about music theory, doesn’t really matter but just know in there. Blues Double-Stop Organ Lick Video. Blues Guitar Lessons: Learn Blues Guitar Licks Video. Well, it’s just the same thing. I’m just using my second finger and my thumb here. [Demonstration] I find that the second finger makes a little bit easier for me to pull off and execute all of these licks. And once again the thumb rig has a big thing to do with it. Break in the thumb hard. The rest just have one position. Dig it in hard with that second finger. The real thing about that sound cool when you slide up and down.
So you have that types of licks and this really sound awesome when you’re using the blues scale. That little there, I add just a passing note. 6th, 9th and 8th. We’ll adjust your seven. It’s kind of like repeating that, just like that. So that is just getting control of hitting each string in the middle, I've come mute and going back and forth like I said. And once again, take that thumb and you just like slide guitar. And once again I’m muting all the bottom strings. Switch. So you see how easily you can switch with doing that pick. I’ll play a little bit, change it up. Cream - Crossroads Guitar Lesson Pt.3 - Second Guitar Solo. Birthday Calculator. So, I am starting here on the VIII fret on the sixth string, And I am using my ring finger to start with. And I go up to the note C# on the eighth string. This is on the VI fret and then slide up VII fret, And then, I go up to the X fret in the A string, and then jump to VIII fret on the D string. And then, to the X fret. So, we have. Okay. And then the last part is. And then, back on the X fret on the D string. And then, X fret on the G string.
And then, back on VIII fret. So, it is like. You see I am barring these two notes on one finger, These two, So, the whole pattern there is. I will do it slow again. Then, you guys work out with the speed and it is a little tricky to play it really smooth but it sounds cool when you play it in a normal tempo which is trendily fast. I need a variation there on that as barring. Instead of playing, Making, Barring on the G string and depends on the B string. Just to get a little bit more emphasis.
