The internet is a massive jungle for finding vector graphics. It’s easy to find vector graphics but it’s difficult to find high quality free vector graphics. This post’s consists of 20 websites which i personal considered some of the best websites for getting your hands on some free vector graphics. Personally vector graphics over past few months is something which I’ve slowly started to become obsessed with, because the possibilities which vector graphics can be used for are endless. The Creative Nerds team also run/own another design blog which specifically specialize within free awesome vector patterns. 1.
In order to determine what kind of image is best suited for your project, it's helpful to know a little about the content types you'll find on the Clip Art and Media site. There are two types of images that are most common: clip art and photographs. Clip art uses the Windows Metafile (WMF) file format, which is a type of vector graphic . The photographs on the site use the Joint Photographics Expert Group (JPG) file format, which is a type of bitmap image .
Vector Image File Conversion (SVG <-> WMF) Thanks to three programs ( Inkscape , OpenOffice Draw , and SVG Factory ), I can convert images between the SVG and WMF formats, which means I finally have something that I can make WMF images with for use in Microsoft Office applications (or anything else that can use WMF images but not SVG images), and I can edit the images as well (as SVGs, followed by converting them to WMFs)! =D For conversion from SVG to WMF : If your SVG image has text, make sure all of that text has been converted to paths (if necessary, save a copy of it under another name).
