Background: My music study began with piano lessons, years of Saturday mornings, bicycling across town to site and demonstrate my lack of progress my disinterest in learning to play the instrument — no fault of my teacher. A couple of years later, after seeing a local band, the Shakers, I picked up the guitar and taught myself some cords and started playing a dozen or so folk songs.At about fifteen, a group of my friends started a band, Cherry Soul. Because there was already a guitar player, I found a Farfisa organ and working with my guitar, converted guitar chords into keyboard chords. Over the next few years I played with a number of bands with names like Moose, Society’s Orphans, Liberty Ark, and Four Guys & a Fifth. The later bands were made up of members of the original Shakers I’d seen many years earlier.
While in college, I went back to the acoustic guitar and began to write much of my own music and lyrics. Electronic Compositions. 2¢ Worth.
