OLED, diode électroluminescente organique, impression, jet d'encre, écran. I - Introduction Les diodes électroluminescentes organiques, ou Organic Light-Emitting Diode (OLED), font l'objet de nombreuses recherches dans divers secteurs. Cette technologie d’affichage lumineux a pour vocation de remplacer un jour les technologies à cristaux liquides (Liquid crystal display - LCD) ou à plasma utilisées dans les écrans. L’un des avantages des OLED réside dans la possibilité de leur appliquer des procédés d’impression traditionnels en vue d’une fabrication à grande échelle. Cela permet une productivité importante à des coûts relativement faibles mais impose des contraintes liées aux techniques d’impression. De plus, l'utilisation des OLED sur des supports flexibles ouvrent des perspectives variées. La technologie des diodes électroluminescentes organiques est relativement récente. Les premières recherches faites par le Français André Bernanose sur la production de lumière à partir de matière organique traversée par un courant électrique datent des années 1950.
