Sir Timothy John "Tim" Berners-Lee , OM , KBE , FRS , FREng , FRSA (born 8 June 1955), [ 1 ] also known as " TimBL, " is a British computer scientist , best known as the inventor of the World Wide Web . He made a proposal for an information management system in March 1989, [ 3 ] and he implemented the first successful communication between a Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) client and server via the Internet sometime around mid November. [ 4 ] Berners-Lee is the director of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), which oversees the Web's continued development.

Sorti de la promotion 1950 de l'école Polytechnique, Louis Pouzin est connu pour son projet Cyclades mené au sein de l'Institut de Recherche d'Informatique et d'Automatique (IRIA) dans les années 1970. C'est à cette occasion qu'il inventa le concept de datagrammes, bloc de données contenant les informations nécessaires à son propre cheminement sur le réseau, ouvrant la voie aux solutions de transfert par commutation de paquets.

The Internet, however, is a newer phenomenon, and filmmakers are still figuring out how to work the now-essential and pervasive communications system into their movies in a worthwhile way. With that in mind, I've made a list of the five best and five worst movies that are about the Internet in significant part, or that feature it prominently as a plot device. I've linked all movies to their Internet Movie Database entries, and for nine of the movies, I've also included a trailer (the tenth one proved too elusive). Since the focus here is on movies about the Internet--not just computers in general--a number of pre-Internet compu-flicks ( WarGames , Tron ), movies inspired by YouTube ( Cloverfield ), and Web-centric movies that graded out as "just OK" ( Live Free and Die Hard , Untraceable ) didn't make the cut.
