It is one of the oldest drama schools in the United Kingdom, having been founded in 1904, and is generally regarded as one of the most prestigious drama schools in the world.[1] The current Director of the Academy is Edward Kemp.[4] The President is The Lord Attenborough, the Chairman is Sir Stephen Waley-Cohen and the Vice-Chairman is Alan Rickman.[5] History[edit] 1904–1950[edit]
