Kids Crafts: Autumn Mobile. If you're new here, you may want to join us on Facebook or Google +. Thanks for visiting! Welcome back to this week’s Kids Craft session. This week, we share with your our “Autumn Mobile” – basically a mobile made from all those wonderful bits and pieces that you can collect when you are out and about on a walk. We used a mix of “newly found” items, as well as some “remnants” of last year’s nature craft stash – we wanted to use it ALL up, so we could go out and collect more this Autumn.
I also think this mobile would look FABULOUS made from leaves and no doubt we will be making a leaf mobile soon too. Watch this space! We grabbed our nature bag and went off for walk. …Materials: Sticks, pinecones, phyaslis (from our stash), acorn tops. 1) Layout your mobile on your table – roughly in the order you would like to have it. Finish! Join the Kids Get Crafty linky party! This linky list is now closed. What are your favourite Fall Craft ideas? Did you like this? Plastic Soda Bottle Lid Capsule | Brian's Backpacking Blog. A couple of months ago I stumbled upon a discussion board that talked about and showed a small, lightweight reusable container made out of the necks and lids of two plastic soda bottles.
I haven’t been able to find that same post ever since, but remember enough about it to want to give it a shot for myself. How to Make a Plastic Soda Bottle Lid Capsule I started with two identical plastic soda bottles to make sure that they would match in size. I cut the necks of the bottles off using a small hacksaw making sure that I kept the large flange that would be used to glue the two necks together later. I used a vice to hold the bottles still while I cut through them. If you don’t have a vice you can still do the same thing by hand, but be very careful and take your time. Once I had cut off the neck of each bottle I used a flat file to smooth down the rough saw marks and left over plastic. Once I had filed the rough edges down and made sure that the edges were level it looked like this (below).
Make A Homemade Trumpet/Bugle. Play it just like you would a trumpet or bugle, if you know how. If you don't, here are snippets from Begin by wetting your lips and press your lips lightly together as if you are about to say "m. " Your teeth should be slightly apart. Hold the mouthpiece to the center of your lips, and blow until your lips vibrate. Your lips should be flat and not pursed as in blowing a kiss. Keeping your lips in the same position, move your tongue as if you are about to pronounce the letter "t" (press the tip of your tongue slightly between your teeth without allowing it to stick out of it).
Have fun with your new trumpet/bugle. Original idea from a book called: "101 Great Science Experiments" can be found at: Scouts - scrapbooking. More Boy Scouts...I really like how the Wood Alphabet turned out! I do have to say that I am a little tired of looking at the Scout Kits that I did. That is why I am putting so many posts up in the next couple of days. Although.... it is a good thing that I have so much made up ahead...gezzzzz My community center projects and making cards for the hospital are taking up a lot of my time. Not to mention the crochet projects and the great-nieces and great nephew projects!
