GLOBALPLATFORM: "Very keen to invest time in the SD market to understand and respond to its requirements" Memory card storage trade body the SD Association has signed a memorandum of understanding with secure element standards body GlobalPlatform that will see the pair working together to standardise the way in which secure data is managed on SD and microSD cards. The two organisations aim to provide service and content providers, as well as consumer electronics manufacturers, with a standardised way to use the SD interface to offer new value-added services, applications and secure content, as well as authenticate transactions and identity.
