The Internet Pinball Machine Database — also known as the IPD or IPDB — is a comprehensive, searchable listing of virtually every pinball machine ever commercially made. It is an ad free, popup free, registration free resource. We do not buy or sell games. The database is constantly expanding, but currently includes 49,720 images of 5,437 games and 3,777 other game related files, as well as links to other pinball websites, all arranged by machine. The database also includes pitch & bat baseball games, cocktail table machines, bingos, and payout machines, when they have a pinball theme. It may also include information on some obscure games that are not pinball machines but sometimes are confused as them.

Despite the fact that I have been playing this game for about the last decade, it still remains my favorite pinball game ever. The reason for that is simple - it is a near-perfect simulation of an actual pinball table, with an abundance of modes and interactive features, and it is incredibly fun to play. And, niche gaming genre or not, in all the years that have followed this read more release, I have never come across another pinball simulation that could quite measure up. Basically, this is as close as you're going to get to a real pinball table without actually owning one. With a fully customizable table slope, maintenance level, and a full-features operator's menu with detailed, per-feature difficulty settings and statistics, you can pretty much customize the game to play exactly how you want it. If you have installed Windows XP SP2, you may have noticed that when exiting a table and going back to the editor, VP crashes. I am working on a fix for this which should be testable soon. For the people with graphics display problems, or if it seems that tables just don't play after they've been rendered, there is a really good chance you have an nvidia card with 40.72 drivers, which contain a bug. I personally went back a few driver versions, other people may have other solutions.
