I loved peanut butter. It was my favorite breakfast; whole grain toast with a couple of tablespoons of creamy peanut butter. It was my favorite lunch; a simple yet delicious peanut butter and strawberry jam sandwich. It was my favorite Little Debbie snack; Nutty Bars. I was always so grateful those little treats came in packages of two. It was also my second favorite cookie; classic peanut butter with the criss cross fork marks (sorry, chocolate chip will always be my ultimate favorite!) When I learned my son had a severe peanut allergy, I was dumbfounded. How could something that seemed so nutritious and a staple of so many pantries be life threatening? Yield: 2 dozen cookies 1/2 cup dairy-free shortening (I use Crisco) 1/2 cup creamy soy nut butter 1/2 cup granulated sugar.

Sunshine’s Killer Zebra recipe (unendorsed!) « Jessica Dickinson Goodman. Hey all, I’m in the midst of planning my birthday party and decided that I wanted to make my own cake. Really, I thought of all of the things I was getting for the party (chips, salsa, vegi/fruit plate, pizza ordered during party, popcorn with cayenne pepper, sugar or cinnamon, sodas) and felt there was a hole in my preparation. Assembling the piñata cookies. Chocolate Chip Cookie Pie. When my mom got me a recipe box a few Christmases ago, I immediately went scrounging through all of her recipes to find some to add to my own collection. She has many recipes saved from years past that she has never made, and this is one of them.
