Marvel Launches Augmented Reality Comics

http://www.psfk.com/2012/03/marvel-augmented-reality-comics.html Marvel has announced its new ‘ReEvolution’ initiative with an augmented reality app called Marvel AR that will include digital extras for readers and a digital-only imprint called Infinite Comics, which will offer comics that tie-in with print titles.

I love how this app provides added content, like extra art work, writer comments, tie in comics etc. per each comic book you buy. The camera on the smart phone scans & recgonizes extra content. this could be great for other publications, text books CI content by dpvagabond Mar 22

Through AR and digital watermarking, TV viewers see synchronized companion content

It’s one thing for augmented reality (AR) to display content superimposed on still objects or images, but Japanese NTT is working on technology that enables similar capabilities for video watched on TV. Specifically, using digital watermarking, Visual SyncAR lets TV viewers see companion content through a mobile device that’s synchronized with the video being viewed. Digital watermarking allows information such as a logo or ID number to be embedded into original video media. http://www.springwise.com/through-ar-digital-watermarking-tv-viewers-synchronized-companion-content/
