I am thinking about reframing my goal. But I like challenges; with the time I have discovered I even enjoy challenging myself.Decision taken. No, I won’t reframe my goal. I will find a way to deal with my own leaving my safe dock and I will find ways to encourage my band of students to join me, or better still I will offer to join them. I will do it, because they deserve it, because there’s a lot of love, care and respect in my band.

They deserve to be the stars of a movement, however small; together, we can make a difference. How it all started We watched this video: And there was a lot of fun, speaking, questions, answers, sharing stories about the places, one of my students even had the “make it count” bracelet, so we could see the real product. What if we created our own video, it would be nice, wouldn't it? We’re on the air Project « Englishing around. After nearly 20 years of teaching the job seems to be in a holt and I find myself repeating the same things over and over again. The students are there, of course, but as one college teacher once told me: They’re always the same age! Every year we get new faces but the age is always the same. Then suddenly I meet a group of wonderful, energetic people that motivate and inspire me to keep going and surprise those fantastic creatures that make our job one the most (if not THE most) rewarding professions in the world.

I’m talking about the wonderful 30 challenge to Educators group to which I have made no contribution up to now Shelly Terrell is, no doubt, a living education hurricane! Here we are. Through Shelly I had the opportunity to meet other brilliant Educators, learn from them and engage in new projects. We’re on the air!!! It's a wrap!!! ALL4EFL: We Are On Air! #30 Goals Challenge: Goal 20: Confront the Issues. When I first discovered the #30 Goals Challenge this summer, I could never imagine in what "adventures" I would get into!!!

#30 Goals Challenge: Goal 20: Confront the Issues

Both the Goals and the people I have met make me push myself harder, maybe even to the limits.... They actually make me see what my limits are and try to go beyond them... It was early summer, when I had the idea for the "we are on the air" project and this idea got bigger and bigger and I found people who were actually willing to take part and started working on it right away. For me it was a little more difficult, because I do not work at a school, so I had several issues to confront.First of all I had to gather my students as a team. This was really difficult since their age and their language level was not the same. What we have done so far: #30 Goals Challenge: Goal 18: Shake Things up!

I don't consider myself a traditional teacher....

#30 Goals Challenge: Goal 18: Shake Things up!

I always want to "shake things up" a bit. I don't know why but I am really restless when it comes to my work and my students. I don't want to just get a book do my lesson and go home. Being a teacher, an educator, it doesn't matter what subject you teach, is not just a job. You don't only share your knowledge, you are their second parent, their friend, you show them how life is, you don't just teach your subject and leave! Facebook. Padlet. On the air team.
