As previously announced, Australian funeral doom icons MOURNFUL CONGREGATION have signed with 20 Buck Spin for the North American release of two full-length releases. The first of the pair, a compilation of out-of-print tracks entitled The Unspoken Hymns , acts as a prologue for the band’s newly completed, monumental, brand new full-length album, The Book Of Kings. 20 Buck Spin has posted a full album stream of the The Unspoken Hymns compilation ahead of its September 20th release date.
XII Boar est un jeune trio britannique de stoner/doom bien punchy et aggressif qui donne la pêche immanquablement ( Train Wreck ). Je pense à Clutch ou Cathedral en moins planant cependant. Il y a une telle énergie qu'on ne peut qu'aimer ce nouveau groupe qui offre sa démo sur son site officiel ou encore via Bandcamp .

Nimbatus est un projet allemand instrumental tenu par un seul artiste qui crée, joue, enregistre et administre depuis 2010. Nimbatus est l'auteur d'une trilogie Dark Doom/gothique instrumentale assez inspirée : un cycle One au printemps 2010, cycle two en automne 2010 et récemment le cycle three... Je pense par certains arrangements à l'ambiance qui ressort dans les ballades calmes chez Opeth ou encore les anciens My dying bride ou Novembers doom ... notamment avec ce titre "A pale light" cycle three
NIMBATUS
Bio: Ixion is an atmospheric doom metal band from France. It was formed in 2004 by composer Julien Prat, joined in 2006 by Thomas Saudray to work on vocals and lyrics. The demo "Through the space we die" is released in 2007 and gets a very good reception.

Les suédois The gardnerz viennent de sortir leur premier opus : "The system of Nature" qui regroupe puissance et lourdeur d'un doom/death metal de bonne facture! Part belle aux mélodies, lignes de guitares limpides rivalisant avec la plombeur mid tempo et des vocaux caverneux et harmonieux. L'ensemble est accablant et désespéré mais les passages clairs de guitare qui rappellent par moment Tristitia ( ex guitariste) allègent l'ensemble et facilitent l'écoute aux non-avertis ;-)
