Robert Doisneau (Gentilly, 14 aprile 1912 – Montrouge, 1º aprile 1994) è stato un fotografo francese. Biografia[modifica | modifica sorgente] Nel 1947 incontrò Jacques Prévert, Robert Giraud e, nello stesso anno, vinse il Kodak Prize. Morì a Montrouge, un sobborgo a sud di Parigi, e venne seppellito a Raizeux, accanto alla tomba della moglie.
Opere[modifica | modifica sorgente] Robert Doisneau fotografato da Bracha L. Ettinger nel suo studio di Montrouge nel 1992 La sua vita è trascorsa nella periferia parigina di Montrouge, fotografando strade e volti sempre differenti. Doisneau amava immortalare la cultura dei bambini della strada e dei loro giochi, arrivando a conferire alle loro attività, seppur infantili, rispetto e serietà. Il Bacio e la sua storia[modifica | modifica sorgente] La sua opera più conosciuta è "Bacio davanti all'hotel De Ville", la foto, scattata nel 1950, di una coppia di ragazzi che si baciano lungo le caotiche vie di Parigi.

In his life time Blossfeldt's work gained praise and support from critics such as Walter Benjamin, artists of the Neue Sachlichkeit (New Realism) and the Paris Surrealists.
The use of botanical specimens as photographic subject matter became popular in the early and mid-nineteenth century at the inception of the photographic medium, as is evident in the calotypes of Henry Fox-Talbot and the cyanotype studies of Anna Atkins.
