Parallel proceedings, such as forum shopping malus, manipulation or fraud of law can be harmful for the sound administration of justice. The complexity of that phenomenon lies in the fact a Manichean approach may be inefficient. A combined approach of existing legal systems may be the key. Such questions firstly require the analysis of the use of anti-suit injunction in Europe (I) and subsequently the vain attempt to institute flexibility in the European regime through the lis pendens rules in lieu of forum non conveniens (II).
