Here’s a simple Q&A to see if you’re ready to go trekking through this strange and beautiful country: Can you pick up a peanut using only chopsticks? A grain of rice? Can you drink a gallon of tea? Are you ok eating something you put in your mouth when you realize as you’re chewing it that if you knew what it was to begin with you never would have eaten it?
Are you comfortable being the only white/black/non-Asian in a 50 mile radius? Are you ok being followed by a foreign government? If you’re gay/political/religious are you ok being completely in the closet about it? Are you ok not having a travel itinerary, and not knowing what’s going to happen 6 hours from now? Is your definition of “clean” flexible? Are you ok with people looking at pictures of your pet and asking if that’s what you had for dinner last night? Do you prefer firm mattresses?
The Tao of Tea-blogging. Taiwan Tea Tour. Tea Finely Brewed. Now stir the fire, and close the shutters fast, Let fall the curtains, wheel the sofa round, And while the bubbling and loud-hissing urn Throws up a steamy column, and the cups That cheer but not inebriate, wait on each, So let us welcome peaceful evening in. --William Cowper It's remarkable how much variety and history are to be found in the leaves of a simple camellia. I recently sat down for an interview with Jihai (季海), the owner and creator of the Hai Lang Hao brand of Pu-erh tea. He enthusiastically shared his views on tea drinking and the tea business in general: Interviewer: When did you first get interested in tea and why? Jihai: I first got involved with tea in 1996, but at that time it was mainly a business interest rather than a personal interest. I had always enjoyed tea while growing up, and because my parents worked in agriculture, I developed a love for naturally grown produce. However, I hadn’t gained a true appreciation for tea, especially Pu-erh tea, until 1999. Up until 1999, I had primarily dealt with and drank Yunnan green teas, but the International Horticultural Expo held in Kunming in 1999 brought in numerous visitors from all around China, and from all over the world, who expressed a very high interest in Yunnan Pu-erh tea.

Not the best and details leave much to be desired, but that's why there's instructions for this recipe. From its recipe video alone, it is quite unclear and so difficult to follow. I am newly wedded wife and a first time cook. I am looking for a easy and delicious recipe, but it seems your sites and recipes are for experts only! This is my first time I've ever made something like this. The presentation of the preparation instructions is unappealing and ugly, I don't even wanna look at it, good thing there is a video... oh wait that doesn't work either, too bad, I want to make this recipe... oh well, there are better websites out there, and I'm going to visit them right now. byJXxjoneiLeeX, June 29, 2012 When you said "Traditional", I was expecting something familiar in ANY way…then I found it so unusual from me and I am quite traditional myself.
I found this cake delicious. For me, if you ask me what is the traditional taste what i love to prepare. Puerh Tea and Your Lifestyle. The experience of searching for a better grade aged Puerh tea is similar to a baby learning how to walk. The baby must have mastered basic walking skills before he/she started to run. When we were born, we knew nothing. We were a piece of blank paper. By the same token, a Puerh novice knows nothing about Puerh tea at the very beginning.
By gathering more experience, a beginner will gradually become a knowledgeable tea person. Certainly, this takes time. It is the same as one's life. Puerh: A Westerner's Quest. The Profit in Pu’er TeaAn interesting article showing the inflation in the value of puerh. Although one reference to a recent charity auction in Beijing is somewhat misleading as he left out some important history behind that particular batch of tea.
This auction was for the Tea Horse Road Caravan tea which held very specific historical and cultural significance to the Chinese people and had little to do with the actual tea. It is like owning a brick from the World Trade Center, its not the value of the brick itself but rather the historical significance behind the World Trade Center. This article leaves out that important fact. Otherwise, this is a very interesting article. Chinese Tea Pots - Learn about Yi Xing Tea Pots. <A HREF=" Widgets</A> In my opinion Chinese tea pots are an essential accessory for enjoying your brew. Although having said that my personal favorite method of brewing is the good old chuck the tea in a cup or guywan, add water, sit back and let it brew for a while method!
But, every now and again I like to get the Yi Xing tea pot out and do it properly. The pots come in many shapes, sizes and designs and are perfect collectors items. One of my Yi Xing tea pots & cup set I had the pleasure of visiting one of the most famous factories in Yixing in 2002. Boy am I glad we made it; the factory was so cool and the museum of antique pots was amazing.
