Make an Awesome Coat Rack Out of Wood Rods and Twine. I repurpose old hockey sticks all the time when I can pick them up cheap at yard sales.
Even the composite sticks are good where you need a nice long solid support. I took part of a wooden hockey stick and cut a curved section out of one end so it would match the roll bar on my Jeep Wranger, on the other end I put a 1.5" wood screw about half way in the end so it would fit in a hole in my window frame. Now when I put my bikini top on in place of my hard top, the material doesn't sag in the middle and hold water and it also doesn't smack me in the head when goin down the road.
