Spotify payout per stream decreases significantly. Today I received the 2011 Q4 statements. In September Spotify paid 0.47 Euro cent (about 0.62 US dollar cent) per stream, in the final months of 2011 the payout fell to 0.36 cents (0.48 US dollar cent). Here is a snapshot of the actual statement: That is considerably less, but it is not entirely unexpected. Probable cause: The number of users has grown late last year as a result of the launch in the United States. Spotify had to set up the necessary investments. How is the payment calculated? Does the rate per stream tell the full story? Too bad my data is limited. Rhapsody :: Subscription Music Service: Listen All You Want: Millions of Songs. Home – Last.fm. A world of music.
