Missing connection to Bouch family Family History Local History

But the info you have found is GREAT. Yes 6 Lancelot Bouch and hundreds of John.I have to take a rest every half hour.Scrappy? - you should see my notes! Nearly all you have found is NEW:-<<The Elder who appeared to have originated from Clifton? Died 28th Sept 1830.Then there was Captain L Bouch Master of the Westmoreland out of Whitehaven, he then owned/sailed The Aimwell, Ardent and Grecian.

This is all great stuff and I have the framework we can attach it to.The Bouch family are heavily involved in shipping - the father of Sir Thomas Bouch (William b abt 1779) being a sea captain and William Bouch (Sir Thomas's brother) marrying Jane Sproule of the brokerage and ship owning family. They made vast wealth trading on their own account with US and Australia and maybe with the East India Company.I have some of the ships if you are interested - but I expect you are just helping me (which I appreciate very much!)

Many thanks for helpingesdel AH! Re: Bouch Family - Bouch. Hi, my wife is descended from a Bouch on her mothers side.

Re: Bouch Family - Bouch

The family come from Aspatriaand my wife was told that they had traced the family back through Sir homas Bouch right back to a person who tried to take the heart of Robert the Bruce to the Holy Land. (at the request of Robert the Bruce at his deathbed). HOWEVER as the last of the 3 Bouch sisters died no family tree was found. The Bouch family was a fairly common name in Cumberland (now Cumbria) at the beginning of the 19th Century with a few living between the Forth and Tay. By the beginning of the 20th Century many more bouchs were living in Scotland. Thomas Bouch only son was William. Sir Thomas Bouch designed the Beelah viaduct near Stainmore, for many years the highest in England, and this lasted until the 1960s when it was pulled down. William Bouch (son) I have no news on as much I have read seems to cross over with his uncles history. Bouch Surname - Bouch - Family History & Genealogy Message Board - Ancestry.co.uk. I have our Bouch family in Pennsylvania back to the mid-1700's but we have been unable to make a connection any earlier. We have found a number of Bouches who came to America from England in the mid-1600's and early 1700's. If you have any information on your Bouch connection to England I would be very interested. From statistical research, we know the demographic and geographic center of the Bouch surname in Cumbria County, England. There are two members of the English Bouch family that I have corresponded with you may want to contact.

Bouch family Kings Lynn Norfolk England - Bouch

Some time ago I prepared a family tree of my own line which is below. William Bouch, Fisherman of Kings Lynn, born 1792had a number of children including Agrippa Fayer Bouch (married 1843 to Mary Fall, daughter of Daniel Fall, a labourer). Agrippa was a tailor in Kings Lynn, born 1815, died 1892. Mary Fall was born in 1818. He had a number of children one of which:William Alfred Bouch married 1868 to Rebecca Harrison. I know all of the children of the above but my father, Edward Victor Bouch, a carpenter married Emma Barker and had two children, Bryan Walter Victor Bouch (ME), retired banker, (b.1937) and Brenda Frances Bouch (b.1930).

I have the following which might be of interest to you and I would be happy to send you copies if you thought they would be of help. I always regret not putting Fayer as a middle name to my three children, although they say they are grateful that I didn't.
