The decoration is an important part of every festival in India or abroad. Embellishing something simple with something glittery and attractive adds more mirth in the festival because it appears unique and beautiful. With Raksha Bandhan around the corner, it is important that we talk about specific arrangements that can be made to add some more charm to the celebration. Send Rakhi online, or meet your brother otherwise, you will need thali to respect the significance of the festival. Besides, gifts and clothes shopping, the way the Rakhi is presented among the cousins and siblings play a very important role. Not only a beautiful presentation is appealing to the eye but also becomes a center of attraction for younger siblings and you set a benchmark for the next year's festival. With the thali, half of the work is done, but the other half is also important if your brother lives in India and you somewhere abroad. In this case, send Rakhi gifts to India to please your brother.

Ways that make your Raksha Bandhan Thali attractive are as follows:

1. Protein Galore Thali: Yes literally! a protein galore with the spread of our very own kitchen pulses. With a variety of Indian food, pulses play a very important role not only for their nutrients but also for decoration.  Use your brother's favorite colored dal, preferably the orange pulses or the kidney beans as they have a reddish tone color. Draw small semi-circles around the thali and put glue on those lightly drawn semi-circles. On the glue, chose a contrasting color of a not so wide ribbon. Fill the semi-circles with pulses. on the remaining thali, stick more different colored pulses in layers. Leave the required place in the middle to place the sweets and the diya. You may place the Rakhi anywhere on the bed of pulses. This Do it yourself thali will show your creativity and you will be praised for it.

2. Flowery Thali: Use full grown roses and stick them randomly on the thali. In the leftover places, spread the leaves of the same flower. Amidst the petals add gleamy diyas and the Rakhi. You may use mirrors for the reflection on the petals randomly which will sparkle and appear spectacular. You may place the sweet in another box, complementing the thali. You may decorate a regular box with some flowers and put the sweets in it. Along with the sweets, place roli, mauli, and silvered cardamom.

3. Velvet Thali: Use an auspicious color velvet paper or cloth whichever you want to use. You may opt for colors just as mustard, green, pink or red and cover a steel thali with this. On one side of the circular thali use readymade embellishments that will compliment the look. On the other side of the embellishments, use a well-decorated diya which can also be adorned with similar embellishments on the sides. A small katori covered in same velvet can have roli. In between the embellishments and diya, put your Rakhis. Your thali is complete without much hassle!

4. Pre decorate thali: With the advancement, many bronze pre-decorated thali is also available in the market. You may add more decor to these, my adding mirror work and embellished diya. Along with this add a small embellished katori for roli and another one for the sweets. Make sure the embellishments are in contrast or matching the color of the thali and its decor. There are steel thalis also in the market, depending upon your choice and budget, you may take your pick and make the festival a beautiful one.
