Puerto Rico fue elegido sede de la Cumbre Mundial de Bibliotecas e Información convocada para el año 2011 con el lema "Bibliotecas más allá de las Bibliotecas: Integración, Innovación e Información para todos", informaron los organizadores. La representante de la cumbre, Sofía Cánepa, indicó en un comunicado de prensa que el evento se celebrará del 13 al 18 de agosto de 2011 en el Centro de Convenciones de Puerto Rico en San Juan. Se espera que unos 7 mil profesionales de la información de bibliotecas nacionales, académicas, especiales, públicas y escolares, así como de archivos históricos, instituciones vinculadas a la cultura y representantes de gobierno y organismos internacionales de ese ámbito participen en la cumbre.

We’d actually gone rogue on the issue ourselves several months ago, thinking that “ Web site ” was a rather antiquated way for describing “a computer connected to the internet that maintains a series of web pages on the World Wide Web.” According to a tweet from the AP Stylebook, the change is noted as of today on its web version, and will be included in the next print edition, due out next month.
