The Annotation Ontology specification is currently used as input for the activities of the W3C Open Annotation Community Group that works towards a common, RDF-based, specification for annotating digital resources.
The Group effort starts by working towards a reconciliation of two proposals that have emerged over the past two years: the Annotation Ontology and the Open Annotation Model. Initially, editors of these proposals will closely collaborate to devise a common draft specification that addresses requirements and use cases that were identified in the course of their respective efforts. A Network Analysis of Dutch Regulations. Wetsanalyse met Hohfeld. Wesley Newcomb Hohfeld (1879 - 1918) was een Amerikaanse jurist. Hij was de auteur van het baanbrekende “ Fundamental Legal Conceptions as Applied in Judicial Reasoning and Other Legal Essays ” (1919). Tijdens zijn leven publiceerde hij slechts een klein aantal juridische artikelen. Het “ Fundamental Legal Conceptions as Applied in Judicial Reasoning and Other Legal Essays ” heeft echter een belangrijke bijdrage geleverd aan het moderne begrip van de aard van rechten en de gevolgen van vrijheid. Het belang van Hohfeld blijkt wel doordat een leerstoel van de universiteit van Yale naar hem is vernoemd. Volgens Hohfeld kunnen de rechtsnormen die beschreven zijn in de wet- en regelgeving kunnen steeds worden toegekend aan een van de volgende categorieën van rechtsrelaties tussen actoren: · Categorie Recht, Plicht; Actor 1 heeft een recht ten opzichte van Actor 2, Actor 2 heeft een plicht ten opzichte van Actor 1.
