So….I had my first accident. It was just a fender bender and a combination of me being distracted, tired and just bad timing. We will get back to this later. We had a great week coming out of home time from my Fathers 80th birthday. The word 'cross' was later substituted for the word 'stake' in the rewriting of the Christian text ( Crosses In Tradition , W.W.Seymour N.Y. 1898). Christian archives record that the general use of the crucifix became ratified at the Sixth Ecumenical Council in 680 (Canon 82). The council decreed that 'the figure of a man fastened to a cross be now adopted'. Although a stake called a stauros (the Greek term used in the earliest Bible writings but where English versions incorrectly translate it to "cross") got used to execute criminals, there exists not a shred of evidence that a Biblical stauros describes a cross or even a T-shape. There occurs no cross in early Christian art before the middle of the 5th century, where it (probably) appears on a coin in a painting.

The Irresistible force paradox , also the unstoppable force paradox , is a classic paradox formulated as "What happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object?" This paradox is a form of the omnipotence paradox [ 1 ] , which is a simple demonstration that challenges omnipotence: ("Can God create a stone so heavy it cannot be lifted, not even by God Himself?"). The immovable object and the irresistible force are both implicitly assumed to be indestructible, or else the question would have a trivial resolution ("it destroys it"). Furthermore, it is assumed that they are two separate entities, since an irresistible force is implicitly an immovable object, and vice versa.

There are numbers out there that are so enormously, impossibly vast that to even write them down would require the entire universe. But here's the really crazy thing...some of these incomprehensibly huge numbers are crucial for understanding the world. When I say "the biggest number in the universe", what I really mean is the biggest meaningful number, the largest possible number that is in some way useful. There are lots of contenders for this title, but I'll warn you now: there is a very real risk that trying to understand all this will blow your mind.

15 Strange Things About Outer Space We all had to memorize that cute mnemonic solar system device in grade school that taught us the order of the planets. Some of us even had Milky Way placemats.

Some time ago I've published article about homemade cpu's , and today we'll be talking about more complex and dangerous things (especially in spite of recent Fukushima accident) – building nuclear reactor at home, which would be able to generate electricity. And before you will start worrying or being skeptical in advance (see Radioactive boyscout ) I will say that everything mentioned in this article is more or less safe (at least, as safe as working with Hydrofluoric acid at home), so I strongly recommend anyone to not try this at home. Also, before thinking of doing something – talk to your lawyer – laws are different country-to-country, and many are already in prison Nuclear fusion Heavy Hydrogen (deuterium) is comparably easy to obtain at home – you just need multistage electrolysis of tap water. But there is a tiny problem – even top-end scientists still unable to build reactor which would produce electricity via fusion.I want to talk about atheists and anger. This has been a hard piece to write, and it may be a hard one to read. I'm not going to be as polite and good-tempered as I usually am in this blog; this piece is about anger, and for once I'm going to fucking well let myself be angry. But I think it's important.
