Ah! My job can be deliciously eclectic, to say the least, if not frenetic. Tis the season of National Science Week and I've liberated myself from the editing studio to host a women in science awards for top early-career scientists, then a schools forum for high school girls with the winners, and.....two Dark Science Nights at Sydney's Powerhouse Museum, amongst other things, with a few plane flights and quick outfit changes in between (and my car snapping a power steering belt and needing a tow at midnight in the middle of it all too...dead car)! Last night, the first of two DARK SCIENCE Nights, was all about the skin you're in...the fruits and labours of the FLESH...how we manage it, damage it, heal it, decorate it, penetrate it, and even how we might transcend it (in an illusory fashion).

More later including pictures....but here's one write up of the night complete with footage and a flickr collection by Tyler Broyles for the . Powerhouse Museum DARK SCIENCE event info here .
