Vangel Naumovski - Reckon

Vangel Naumovski, Spiral Galaxy, 1981 Vangel Naumovski was born in 1924 in the Macedonian city of Ohrid (then part of Yugoslavia). He was interested in art at a young age, but this lead nowhere as he left school after third grade and worked a series of odd jobs -- gardener, farmer, butcher. http://reckon.posterous.com/vangel-naumovski

mental_floss Blog » 10 Notable Staircases

http://www.mentalfloss.com/blogs/archives/17063 Staircases can be so much more than just a means of getting to the next floor. A staircase can be a work of art, a conversation piece, a place to meditate, or a historical marker. This floating staircase by designer Jordi Vayreda looks dangerous, but the steps are made of steel welded to a thick beam inside the wall. The top of the wall can be used as a handrail for the upper half of the staircase. See more pictures and an explanation here . This design makes sweeping under the stairs easy!

v1kram's posterous - Home

Yosemite National Park , California , USA This park was gazetted as a national park in 1890. It is world famous for its rugged terrain, waterfall and century-old pine trees. It covers 1200 sq km and the "fire" waterfall of El Capitan is one of the most spectacular of all scenery. The spectacular view of the waterfall is created by the reflection of sunlight hitting the falling water at a specific angle. This rare sight can only be seen at a 2-week period towards the end of February. http://v1kram.posterous.com/

but does it float

http://butdoesitfloat.com/ “A long piece of rope represents a series of waves floating in space, as well as producing sounds from the physical action of their movement: the rope which creates the volume also creates the sound by cutting through the air.”
You may have seen me post this photo to my instagram a couple days ago and yes, it is our next giveaway! Elli Popp sent over these beautiful ceramics featuring drawings by Edwyn Collins (had to link it for the Empire Records fans). So who wants ‘em? http://www.booooooom.com/
