Skateboard... Longboard... SPEEDBOARD! by Jordan Jacobsma

The new design specs: At Purpose Boards, we build boards with a purpose, hence the name. We came across this idea of making a board designed specifically for downhill - but we wanted to make it lighter, stronger, faster, better... and whatever else Daft Punk says. We came up with the Cor-9 Speedboard, an up and coming category of board design, to be top notch in downhill racing. The Original (old model) Here's the Redesign: New Deck Specs (these are ranges as the final design is not solidified): Length: 36-40" Width: 9-9.5" Wheelbase: 29-31" Drop Center: 1.25" Wedge: Front 10 deg; Back Dewedge 5 deg This board was designed with tons of feedback from downhill riders; it is a hybrid.

Purpose Boards was started in Long Beach, California. PurposeBoards Anyway, we have a small workshop where we make the skateboards in the Downtown Long Beach Area... and we currently make custom, - one-of-a-kind, hand made boards. Maybe you can own the first ever Cor 9 SpeedBoard! Foldable Skateboard by Jin-Seok Hwang of NG Boards. This Skateboard is No Good Folding a skateboard in half is ludicrous.

Who Jin-Seok Hwang? Yes. What foolishness to make such a thing-but wait! This thang might actually work. No more boardslides for you! Below: this board concept was sourced from the NG Boards website. Designer: Jin-Seok Hwang of NG Boards. The Onewheel: A Self-Balancing Electric Monowheel Skateboard. Inspired by the hoverboard Michael J.

The Onewheel: A Self-Balancing Electric Monowheel Skateboard

Fox cruises around on in Back to the Future Part II, ex-IDEO'er Kyle Doerksen created the Onewheel. A self-balancing electric monowheel skateboard, the Onewheel seemingly replicates the feeling of riding around on a hoverboard (if not the form factor), and even a novice can purportedly pick up how to ride one in less than a minute; in addition to the self-balancing feature, riders can accelerate by leaning forward and slow down by leaning back, as with a Segway. The 25-pound device will do 12 m.p.h., with a range of four to six miles. Charging the lithium battery takes from 20 minutes to two hours, depending on what type of charger you use. And the monowheel design means that maintenance is a lot simpler than it would be for a bicycle: "There's literally only one moving part—the wheel," writes Doerksen. And yes, the Onewheel is real, not just a concept; Doerksen and his team have it up on Kickstarter, where it's already tripled its $100,000 goal.

DESKA Board - The Black Edition. DESKA Board – The Black Edition The Black Edition of DESKA Board’s three-wheeled hybrid rider is as artistic as it is thrilling.

DESKA Board - The Black Edition

It features the same hand-brake controls, large go-anywhere wheels, and unique “FootBelt” system for jumps and high-speed turns… but with its carbon/kevlar sandwich structure and banded convex shape, it’s more strong and versatile than ever. Get the new look here!
