Not only do I have to take care of Princess Maya, I also had to play nice wife and cook...and clean...and do all this other "stuff" that is part of everyday life. Did I mention how exhausted I have been? It gets better... As I had predicted, my Endocrinologist confirmed that my Thyroid is in worst shape than I thought. The blood results also confirmed that my PCOS has really exploded into pre-diabetes mode (insulin resistant), and that my liver, has the high propensity of becoming "fatty" if I don't take weight off my body.

Oh, it gets better: my iron levels are SUPER low. Want the icing on the cake? Yes, this all happened in ONE week. This research is the latest indication that public health recommendations should be established to encourage Americans to limit the amount of time they spend sitting every day, said Lynette L. Craft, first author of the study and an adjunct assistant professor in preventive medicine at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. “We all know someone who gets a good workout in every day, but then spends a large portion of their day sitting in front of a computer with few breaks,” Craft said.

Part of the reason it’s so hard to kick the habit is that over time our brains actually become addicted to the natural opioids that are triggered by sugar consumption.
