Due to our limited area, most of Singaporeans (around 80%) live in govt-build flats, rest in either high-rise private condominiums or (the well-heeled ones) landed bungalows. Currently, New Towns and smaller Estates, are well-equipped in shopping malls, food centers, transportation (more and more extensively - rail transit), schools, parks and communal facilities. Simei Estate: Simei Community Center, all towns got it, it contains sporting facilities, administration, etc. Larger towns have few of them, each serving a specific division of a town.
