What Do The New “Super 8″ Viral Clips Tell Us? We’ve brought you bits and pieces of the mysterious video that is slowly being put together on S8EditingRoom.com, and now we have enough that we can at least try to speculate on the video as a whole.
Get the details on the latest addition to the Super 8 viral campaign after the break. The film itself, from writer and director J.J. Abrams, centers around a train crash in the small town of Littleton, Ohio in the late 70s. Out of the train, which was coming from Area 51, bursts something with force (presumably extraterrestrial) and creates havoc for the town. In the ARG, we follow the modern day communications between Josh Minker and an unknown figure players have dubbed Mysterio (who is now dead). The film reel that is slowly being pieced together (partly through mailings) on the S8 Editing Room site is now starting to come together to show us the bigger picture of what it reveals.
“Portal 2″ Gives Interactive Look At “Super 8″ The videogame Portal 2 was released nationwide today, and already a pretty impressive easter egg has been found.
The PC and Mac versions of the game include a level that allows you to explore the train seen in the trailers for Super 8 as well as the wreckage from the crash, up until the monster breaks through its car. Check out a video of the interactive sneak peek after the break. To my understanding, there is no connection between the two projects or the companies behind them, so I’m not sure where the collaboration came from. It’s cool to be able to explore inside the train and through the wreckage, but from what I can see, not much can be learned. Obviously, as more people play, the more that might be noticed, so we’ll keep an eye out for anything interesting found. New Clip Added To “Super 8″ Editing Room Viral Site. There is a new update to the piecemeal clip on S8editingroom.com, and while it doesn’t show much, it very well could right before the film is released.

Abrams' upcoming secretive project Super 8? The movie has been so under wraps that we don't even really know what it is about yet. Well, the investigative team at ReelzChannel found a clue hidden within the trailer for the summer flick. A url is hidden in the camera lens in the trailer, s8editingroom.com, a website apart from the official website for the movie — www.super8-movie.com. The website reveals some seemingly "lost" footage of scientists talking about an (alien?) Trailer & Official Movie Site.
