MPC Prometheus VFX breakdown! PROMETHEUS Extended Scene Between Shaw & The Engineer; Plus Full Weyland Scene. The first two scenes in the video below I posted yesterday so you can skip those.
At about the five minute mark you can see the Weyland/Engineer encounter in full. Lastly we have an extended cut of Shaw's confrontation with the Engineer. This takes place right after, in my opinion, the worst scene in the entire movie. What's that? Oh, when Janek rams the Engineer's ship and it comes hurtling back down to the surface. Anyways, back to the extended scene below. The extended cut below is much better in my opinion as it actually creates tension and it kind of helps explain how Shaw is able to be so feisty after recently giving birth to an octopus. The featurette starts with a medley of past Scott films, and then the title card, “RIDLEY SCOTT RETURNS TO THE GENRE HE REDEFINED, WITH AN ORIGINAL SCIENCE FICTION EPIC PROMETHEUS.” At first, you see Scott standing in a studio, and then in a big open space with weird ribs on the walls, and Scott says, “So here we are, I’m back again.” And then we see Charlize Theron doing pushups naked. Theron came out on stage and talked about how the script had seemed really rough when she first came on board, and she worked with Scott and Lindelof to improve it. “She’s very different from anything I’ve done. Update: At the Request of 20th Century Fox we have been instructed to remove Images which rightfully belong to the studios. 20th Century Fox released a Teaser Trailer at this years ComicCon for Ridley Scott's highly anticipated Sci-Fi behemoth Prometheus, while many who could not make the convention in San Diego hoped the Teaser would be released online, small signals led to the belief that we would have to wait a long, long time.
Well this may not be the case for we now at least can see some captured stills from the mysterious footage. If you do not want to view the images then I recommend you to move along because they contain explicit details & spoilers. Hit the jump to check them out! Now that the images are finding their way online, one would hope Fox would consider releasing the ComicCon footage earlier as most likely a bootlegged version of the teaser will surely appear online. First we got The Dark Knight Rises, then Wrath of the Titans and now we have a couple of trailers for the trailer to Ridley Scott's Prometheus! Watch this footage, and then tell me this film isn't really connected to Scott's Alien: Mother, turn the cooling unit back on! The full trailer will debut Thursday on Apple.
