The producer of the hit zombie TV series The Walking Dead Gale Anne Hurd is developing a new series with her Valhalla Entertainment production company based on the legendary Area 51 . The series will be based on a book they optioned called Area 51: An Uncensored History of America's Top Secret Military Base , which was written by Annie Jacobsen. The book itself gives some interesting information on highly classified military base. The information she gathered came from people who actually worked on the base. The show is being planned as a hour-long drama, and it will follow two men working on the base who are thrust into danger when they uncover secrets that the government will protect at any cost. The series will be written by Karl Gajdusek (Dead Like Me).

TNT has unveiled a new television spot for its alien invasion drama Falling Skies . Executive produced by Steven Spielberg, the series stars Noah Wyle as a former university professor and father who has taken up the leadership role in a resistance faction made up of soldiers and civilians alike. In addition to Wyle, Falling Skies also stars Moon Bloodgood, Drew Roy, Will Patton, and Drew Roy.
