Abrams' Super 8, which I think is one of the best films I have seen all year. The clips shows Joe (Joel Courtney), Charles (Riley Griffiths), and Cary (Ryan Lee) making a quick stop at 7-Eleven after school, talking about their plans to film some more scenes for their movie. Mix in that it’s produced by Steven Spielberg, uses his Amblin logo (which should clue you into what kind of movie this is), and you’re got a great coming-of-age story that I think audiences are going to love. During my interview with three of the kids (Joel Courtney, Riley Griffiths and Ryan Lee), we talked about trying to keep the movie a secret, their reaction to seeing the finished film, filming the train sequence, what films did they watch before filming, how they got to help write and direct the super 8 zombie film within the film, and a lot more. Hit the jump to watch. Even The New “Super 8″ Poster Pays Homage To Steven Spielberg. The sci film Super 8, which we’ve been covering extensively, is directed and written by J.J.

Abrams. From watching the trailers and clips, it’s pretty clear that Abrams is paying homage to his idol Steven Spielberg, who is a producer on the film. The film has the feel of Spielberg’s old Amblin Entertainment movies like E.T. and Close Encounters of the Third Kind. In fact, Spielberg has lent the Amblin name to the film, and Abrams himself has admitted that Super 8 is partially a love letter to the Spielberg films he grew up on.

The newest poster for Super 8 plays up the Spielberg homage by mimicking the classic hand drawn posters of his 70s and 80s films. Take a look for yourself after the break. J.J. The official synopsis for J.J Abrams newest movie 'Super 8' has been revealed and although it doesn't exactly reveal anything we haven't already known, it's interesting anyway. The shroud of secrecy surround this movie is amazing, J.J Abrams is famous for keeping things hidden from fans and giving us hints with viral marketing and glimpses slipped into trailers and clips just like he previously did with 'Cloverfield'. We got out first real look at the movie during this years SuperBowl and now Paramount has given us the official synopsis for the film, with the theatrical trailer rumored to be released tomorrow with 'Battle: Los Angeles'. In the summer of 1979, a group of friends in a small Ohio town witness a catastrophic train crash while making a super 8 movie and soon suspect that it was not an accident. 'Super 8' hits theaters on June 10th.

SUPER 8 TV Spot Image Clues. On Super Bowl Sunday, we brought you the official TV spot for Super 8. Apparently, J.J. Abrams didn’t think that it generated enough hype, as hours later he revealed some tidbits about the film. Since its unveiling just a few short days ago, Abrams-fanatics have been busy tearing apart the recent trailer and feasting on the delicious Easter eggs hidden within. (A similar technique was used on Super 8’s teaser trailer last year, which led fans to a website featuring the “scariest thing I ever saw.”) But it seems there is more than one version of Super 8’s trailer surfacing on TV and the net.

The folks over at Movie Viral have collected the pieced-together images, thanks to members of Unfiction forums and Super 8 News. Some of the more interesting images are of people in varying states of distress.
