'Hangover II' Heads to FX. ‘Hangover Part II’ Breaks Record: Biggest Five-Day R-Rated Opening Ever. Not only did Warner Bros.’ The Hangover Part II score the best opening of all time for a comedy at the domestic box office, it grossed the most of any R-rated film in its first five days. Hangover, debuting last Thursday on the eve of the long Memorial Day weekend, earned $135 million through Monday. That beats the $134.3 million earned by Warner’sThe Matrix Reloaded in its first five days (the one caveat--Matrix Reloaded opened on Wednesday evening, so didn't have a full day). The highly anticipated sequel is scheduled to be released this week ,so a decision should be forthcoming soon. In its brief, Warner Bros. says Whitmill will not be able to succeed on the merits of his claims that Hangover II constitutes copyright infringement of what the he calls "one of the most distinctive tattoos in the nation. " "The very copyrightability of tattoos is a novel issue," says the Warner Bros. brief.

"There is no legal precedent for Plaintiff's radical claim that he is entitled, under the Copyright Act, to control the use of a tattoo that he created on the face of another human being. " Warner Bros says that unless Whitmill puts up a $100 million bond, the losses will be unrecoverable. 'Hangover: Part II' on Track to Far Outpace Original's Opening Weekend Box Office.

Well apparently the scene that followed Nesson's cameo was cut and so the scene he appeared in basically had no use. They wanted to have Nesson come back but he was in London filming Clash of the Titans sequel. So with the time crunch it seems like Director Todd Phillips decided to give Nick Cassavetes a call and he said yes. Here are more details: While editing, Phillips chose to cut the scene that immediately followed Neeson's cameo, meaning it no longer had the information necessary to logically get the Wolf Pack (Bradley Cooper, Zach Galifianakis and Ed Helms) to what became the next scene.

Three weeks ago, Phillips decided to reshoot the scene, but with Neeson in London shooting WB's "Clash of the Titans" sequel, the actor was no longer available.
