Community is ending Season 3 in a big way, with three episodes airing in just one night, Thursday, May 17th, at 8:00, 9:00 and 9:30. (30 Rock will air its season finale at 8:30). The first of these episodes, “ Digital Estate Planning ,” will feature a notable guest star (Breaking Bad’s amazing Giancarlo Esposito) and focus on a subject IGN readers should be very interested in – video games! In the episode, Pierce, accompanied by the study group, is summoned to speak about his inheritance with his father's former right-hand man, Gilbert Lawson (Esposito).

NBC has announced the premiere dates of three new series and the anticipated return of Community. The network has slated the return of Community in familiar territory, taking over from 30 Rock on Thursday, March 15 at 8 p.m. Community 's return pushes 30 Rock to the 8:30 p.m. home, currently held by Parks & Recreation . Parks & Rec will go on hiatus, returning April 19 at 9:30 p.m. after Up All Night finishes its 24-episode run. Bent , starring Amanda Peet and David Walton, launches Wednesday, March 21 with back-to-back episodes beginning at 9 p.m.

NBC is making some significant midseason scheduling changes in an effort to jump-start what has been a lackluster season so far. That’s good news for Up All Night , but bad news for Community . For starters, the Peacock is moving Up All Night to Thursdays at 9:30/8:30c following The Office beginning Jan. 12. The deteriorating Whitney will take over Night ‘s former Wednesday lead-off spot on Jan. 11, where it will be paired with new sitcom Are You There, Chelsea?

Coming out of the TCA (Television Critics Association) press tour, I have an embarrassment of riches when it comes to interviews I'm catching up on posting. One such example is the following chat with the always delightful Alison Brie . This interview was conducted a couple of weeks ago, just as production had finished on the Season 3 premiere of Community – Keep that in mind, as they're now obviously a couple of episodes further along in production than when we spoke. TVLine has learned that Community ‘s Troy (Donald Glover) and Abed (Danny Pudi) aren’t the only study buddies shacking up in Season 3. Another member of the Greendale gang is moving in with the bromancers early in the school year, and it’s not who you might expect. (No, it’s not the perpetually homeless Chang.) “Everyone knows that Troy and Abed are moving in together,” showrunner Dan Harmon tells us, “But at some point after that, Annie actually moves in, too.”

'Community' Season 3 Preview Guide: Graduation Comes One Step at a Time
Martin Starr, one of my favorite, and surely one of the most underappreciated and underused comedic supporting actors, has just signed on to do a guest spot on one of my favorite sitcoms, NBC's Community . The former Party Down -er and member of the "Apatow troupe" will be at Greendale Community College for (at least) one episode in the upcoming third season. Starr will not be attending the school as a fellow student, however. Instead, as with many of Community 's guest spot opportunities, his role will professorial in nature. TVLine , who broke the news, describes the episode and role: when the group "venture into the fun-filled world of Model UN simulations, the Party Down scene-stealer pops up as their fearless poly-sci professor and project advisor."
