REAPER | Audio Production Without Limits

REAPER 4.151 has OS X 10.4 and ReWire fixes, and builds on REAPER 4.15's numerous improvements, including support for 64-bit ReWire, bridging 64-bit plug-ins on OSX. There are also extensive usability improvements to REAPER's track and region managers, and to the project bay. ReaTune, REAPER's included pitch analysis/correction FX, now supports on-demand analysis of the audio source, so you no longer need to play through the audio first in real time. REAPER will now (by default on 32-bit versions) warn when memory use is too high, allowing you to correct the problem before things go wrong. http://www.cockos.com/reaper/

Livecut | Mdsp @ Smartelectronix

Livecut is based on BBCut the BreakBeat Cutting library written by Nick Collins for SuperCollider The BBCut Library began out of work on an algorithm to simulate the automatic cutting of breakbeats in the style of early jungle or drum and bass Nick Collins. Livecut is only a small subset of what is possible with BBCut, but as it is available as a VST plugin, it is much easier to start experimenting with it. It is a live beat-slicer but instead of manipulating equal chunks of audio like most beatslicer do, it works on the notion of audio cuts whose length and number of repetition depends on the context and the cutting procedure. cuts are organized in blocks which then form a phrase . see Image below.

We have just uploaded a minor but important upgrade to Bitspeek. It is minor because it brings no new features to the table, but it is important because: 1) It is our first venture into the great wild yonder of 64-bit. 2) It makes Bitspeek compatible with a bunch of hosts that will not play nicely, or not at all with monophonic plug-ins, e.g. GarageBand and Sonar. To clarify the latter point, Bitspeek 1.0.2 still runs monaural processing under the hood but it is configured for stereo I/O and will simply mix the two input channels and produce identical output for left and right channels.
