As we head into the fourth quarter, I wanted to share some of the progress that we’ve made since we realigned engineering and created our Platform team. The team is comprised of simulator, services, and viewer developers and testers (Platform Development), as well as our operations, IT, data warehouse and customer support teams (Platform Operations). The focus of the teams will be to drive “back to basics” improvements across the grid and evolve our current architecture into a scalable set of services and APIs.

April 15th, 2010 An Ultrasound Technician, also known as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer or Ultrasonographer, uses special equipment to “see” into a patient’s body. Ultrasound is a form of non-invasive diagnostic imaging. High frequency sound waves are directed into a specific area of the body and an image is generated from the sound that is reflected.
The following is not a report on the whole project – it involves our teaching in Second Life in 2008. The paper we wrote for the ReLive conference (which is also online here at the blog) covers more of the project overall.
