What is information literacy? What CILIP is doing Information literacy is one of our policy priority areas. We are committed to continue to champion the importance of information literacy as a key public good of the profession. Our focus is in two areas: digital inclusion and information literacy in the learning environment. In July 2012 CILIP endorsed the Alexandrian Proclamation of UNESCO, International Federation of Library Associations (IFLA) and National Forum on Information Literacy.
