Greek and Latin roots are really an essential standard the students need to master in the upper grades. There are just so many benefits to them knowing the meanings of these words. To help the students learn them, we have been learning between 2 and 5 a week since the beginning of the school year.

Words which are used to modify nouns or pronouns are usually referred to as adjectives . For instance, the adjectives in the following sentences are underlined. e.g. Large trees could be seen. They are happy . In the preceding examples, the adjective large modifies the noun trees , and the adjective happy modifies the pronoun they .

Definition Some words are satisfied spending an evening at home, alone, eating ice-cream right out of the box, watching Seinfeld re-runs on TV, or reading a good book. Others aren't happy unless they're out on the town, mixing it up with other words; they're joiners and they just can't help themselves. A conjunction is a joiner, a word that connects (conjoins) parts of a sentence.Since I am focusing a lot of my time on learning Spanish and documenting my progress (meaning I read lots of Language Learning blogs) I think it’s a good idea to share a list of blogs I read regularly so that you can easily discover these great resources.
