Ajax poller. Drop down/ Overlapping Content script. Updated: Sept 11th, 08': Fixed bug whereby drop down content isn't revealed onClick of anchor in Safari/ Google Chrome Description: This script lets you display content in tight areas on your page, by dropping it down into view when the mouse rolls over the anchor element.

Drop down/ Overlapping Content script

The content temporarily overlaps anything beneath it. Think of it as adding another dimension to your webpage to create more space. It's extremely handy for displaying search boxes, additional links etc in a tight area, such as the sidebar column of a page. The content to reveal/ overlap in each case is simply contained inside an arbitrary DIV on the page for easy customizing.

Drop Down Content can be revealed either via onclick of the anchor link, or onmouseover instead. Demo #1: Mouse over the "Search DD" link near the top of the left column on this page. Demo #2 (content fetched via Ajax, activated onclick): Additional Resources. Dynamic Drive DHTML Script- Snow Effect. Dynamic Drive DHTML scripts- jQuery Scroll to Top Control. Note: April 7th, 09'.

Dynamic Drive DHTML scripts- jQuery Scroll to Top Control

Adds ability to scroll to an absolute position (from top of page) or specific element on the page instead. Also fixes scroll animation not working in Opera. Description: If your pages are long winded, it's a good idea to provide viewers with an easy way to quickly/ automatically scroll back to the top of the page. That's where this script comes in. It displays a stationary control at the lower right corner of the window that when clicked on gently scrolls the page back up to the top. Note that apart from displaying a stationary control, you can also define arbitrary anchor links on the page with a special href value (ie: #top) that when clicked activate the script and scrolls the page back to the top. Demo: Scroll the page down (at least 100 pixels) to see a "Back to Top" control appear at the lower right of the window.
