Some plots have 99 years, while others only have a lease of 50 years, and some 25yr. The headstones will be destroyed after a certain amount of time, if not claimed by a descendant. The plots will also be reused unless the lease is renewed. As a rule the family members try to raise the funds required to renew the lease. This is not a complete listing of burials! Volunteer members are available in the History Room at the Port Pirie Regional Library to help visitors on Fridays between 1pm and 3pm. Sundays by appointment. The Group meet at the library at 6pm on the first Tuesday of each month for a short meeting, followed by a friendly chat and a cuppa. Guest speakers are often invited to address the meeting on topics relating to the Group's research. Everyone is most welcome to come along.
