Looks are certainly important, but there are other factors that should not be overlooked when deciding which one may be the best for you. In this article we will discuss several aspects that one should take into account before handing over the credit card. Admittedly, there are many topics we will not cover for the sake of keeping the article readable and simple. Today we will take a look at 10 of the most commonly available snakes in the pet trade. The categories we look at today, will be hardiness, temperament, cost, feeding issues, breeding success, variety of colors, and size. The unusual cross became popular among breeders at the end of the 1990s, and in 2001 the International Cat Association accepted it as a new registered breed. In May 2012, TICA accepted it as a championship breed. In 1996, Patrick Kelley and Joyce Sroufe wrote the original version of the Savannah breed standard and presented it to the board of The International Cat Association.

TICA's acceptance of the Savannah standard as a new breed was key validating Savannahs as a breed of cat.
