Partners with Thomson Reuters in new venture - National US Headlines. Examiner.com partners with Thomson Reuters in new venture In an effort to incorporate local news, along with adding more diversity and variety to its offerings, Thomson Reuters is launching Reuters America, which will make Examiner.com content available to Reuters subscribers. Currently, Reuters has approximately 1 billion readers a day and a multitude of subscribers internationally, thus, such a move is likely to increase the readership of Examiner.com, while validating the Websites’ unique model of providing diverse local content to a massive audience.

This is a break from tradition for Reuters, which demonstrates that the major news service recognizes the quality of writing that Examiners exhibit. In essence, the partnership is evidence that mainstream media needs the type of content Examiner.com offers. Examiner.com CEO Rick Blair said of the partnership “It’s exciting all the way around.
