Developing a Digital Classroom – Working Smarter Not Harder – Part 1. So in this first of many in the series, I would like to cover some of the simple and easy things you can do to help bring some of your course content into the digital age. Specifically, ways you can connect with students at their level, and still maintain your own sanity. Technology is all about us, and many people feel overwhelmed when it comes to solving pedagogical problems. You might be looking at some of this technology or some of my advice and think, “Where do I even begin?” Well, I would offer a simple retort to ask, “What is it you are trying to solve?”
Your answer to these questions might be that there is nothing wrong, you don’t want to change anything, and that might be fine. From my experience here at school, I have learned that there are probably 5 key technology areas that teachers regularly use to communicate with students. Social Networking Websites (Edmodo, Twitter, and Facebook) Blogs, Websites & Wikis (PB Works, Blogger, WordPress and Google Sites) Direct Links: Thefishbowl - Evernote. Well, you can make your life much simpler and more elegant by using it. Your notes from conferences, PD sessions, lesson plans, travel documents, etc., can all be compiled in one location. Google Calendar Google Calendar is now and has been my calendar of choice for about a year and a half. I have a personal calendar for me that is set up to send me a text message at certain times before I have to be somewhere because I always forget what time it is! My family and each child has a calendar (I set the kids appointments to automatically show up on the family calendar), and I use Google cal for my classes.
The greatest addition to the calendar is that now I keep my 5 most important calendars on my Apple iPod touch 16 GB (2nd Generation) . Setting Appointments 2. A lot of the language quality is a throwback to when social media was used primarily for personal communications and a lot of abbreviated English was used. With the rapid pace of available online technology coming at you and new terms, which are being introduced on a very regular basis, that English language is bound to be affected. Along with new terms that are being used to describe new tools are the rules that apply to those particular tools.
Of course, the tools are introduced to the public more quickly than the rules themselves. In fact, it can take a very long time for the new terms to be officially integrated into the language. Not always what you think As you are writing your content, you will be inclined to use some of the new terms to which you have been introduced.
