Highlighting the acute sensitivity to proportion and form characteristic of designer Piero Lissoni's work, Heigh-Ho is a series of glass wall-mounted display cases. With subtlety, these objects investigate the boundaries of their material, challenging the expectation of what glass objects may be. Lissoni's careful eye enlivens the products with clever shapes; in addition to a straight version, Heigh-Ho is also available as an irregular prism in its oblique form. Crafted in extralight glass and glued at 45-degree angles, the construction of these cases seemingly disappears and allows attention to be focused on the object instead of the hardware.
Special hinges fixed to the wall by means of a frame allow the glass cases to revolve, and enable access to the inside. Lissoni's careful design gives the displayed object the illusion of being magically suspended in midair. Home Design Ideas.
