State Archives in Poland: Data bases of State Archives. Chercher ses ancêtres polonais. Jewish records indexing Poland. Project. Our goal is to transcribe the 19th century marriage records from the historic Greater Poland (then Prussian Province of Poznan) into a searchable online database.
The Project is coordinated by Łukasz Bielecki and is supported by dozens of volunteers from many countries, who have been transcribing marriages from the entire region. The search engine was created by Maciej Glowiak. You are welcome to ask Łukasz Bielecki about how to obtain copies of records found in the database or how to further research your Poznan/Posen ancestors. Les actes d'état civil après 1795 se retrouvent rédigés en polonais puis en russe à partir de 1868 (centre et est du pays), en allemand (Poznan-Wroclaw), en latin (Galicie, partie méridionale sous domination de l'Autriche-Hongrie). En 1945, la Pologne subit une translation de plus de 500 km vers l'Ouest.
