Japanese Lab Invents GROSS Kiss Transmission Device. May 2nd, 2011 by Shane McGlaun If you look at the source of most of the weird gadgets and inventions that surface, I bet that a ample number of them will hail from Japan. Engineers and designers in Japan come up with some really kooky ideas. The latest is from the Kajimoto Laboratory at the University of Electro-Communications. The lab is conducting research on tactile communications with the aim of creating a device that can transmit the feeling of a kiss.

Yes, I am serious. The Kiss Transmission device is a pair of boxes with plastic tubes sticking out the front that are powered by motors that are controlled by a computer. The guy on one end puts the straw in the mouth and flicks it around with the tongue and the person on the other end has the straw on their machine move in the exact same way. You can watch the video below to see one of the designers using it, but be prepared to be a little grossed out and embarrassed if you get caught watching it. It doesn't record anything itself, it only displays files that are already hidden on your computer. The file exists on PCs too, but we haven't written a version of the application that runs on Windows ourselves. How does the application work? How can I examine the data without running the application?

~/Downloads/iphonels.py | grep "consolidated" No. It’s unclear.
