PepsiCo announced the launch of its Social Vending System last week, a digital vending machine with an interactive touchscreen display. The system lets users buy a drink as a gift for a friend and personalize it with a video message. You enter their name and mobile phone number and they receive a text message with a gift code to redeem at their nearest vending machine, where they can also view the video you recorded.
